The Senior Living CaRES Fund (“we”, “us”, or “our”) takes privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect about you and what we do with it. By accessing or using our website or applying for a grant that we operate and administer, you indicate that you understand, accept, and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, from time to time and at our sole discretion. We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy to this page and will revise the “Last Modified” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our website or your submission of an application (or you otherwise applying for) a grant that we operate and administer indicates that you accept and consent to any such changes. As such, we encourage you to visit our Privacy Policy periodically to check for any changes made to it.

HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU?

WHAT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU DO WE COLLECT?

  • non-personal information, that does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity or directly relate to an identifiable individual, such as statistical or aggregated information (which has been anonymized, and cannot be used, either by itself or combined with other information, to identify any individuals),

  • technical information, including your browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, or information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our website, and usage details, and

  • non-personal details about your website interactions, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), clickstream to, through and from our website (including date and time), page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page, or any phone number used to call our customer service number.

  • to operate and administer our grants, including accepting, reviewing, processing and otherwise assessing any applications for any such grants which you submit to us,

  • for general business administration, and to support all the above, including corresponding with you, administration and troubleshooting the website, or otherwise offering customer support to you,

  • to fulfill the purposes for which you provided the information or that were described to you when your information was first collected or any other purpose for which you provide it,

  • with our members, agents, employees, directors and officers, authorized contractors and any other individuals directly involved in the operation (in whole or in part) of our organization, including the operation and administration of our grants,

  • for any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information,

  • with your consent,

  • to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request, in accordance with applicable laws, or

  • to the extent, we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect our rights, property, or security.

WHERE MIGHT YOUR INFORMATION BE SENT?

We may transfer personal information that we collect or that you provide as described in this Privacy Policy to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are contractually obligated to keep personal information confidential, use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, and to process the personal information with the same standards set out in this Privacy Policy.

We may process, store, and transfer your personal information in and to a foreign country, with different privacy laws that may or may not be as comprehensive as Canadian law. In these circumstances, the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of that country may be able to obtain access to your personal information through the laws of the foreign country. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for the circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on our website.

HOW LONG WILL INFORMATION ABOUT YOU BE KEPT?

Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain information about you for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected, including for the purpose of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. After that, we will delete it. The period will vary depending on the purposes for which the information was collected. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13

Our website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or through our website.   • lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country (if there is one).

We offer you easy ways to exercise these rights, such as “unsubscribe” links, or giving you a contact address, in messages you receive.

Where you have provided your consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your personal information, you may have the legal right to withdraw your consent under certain circumstances.
